19.10 - Mixed Team plays Worlds

The National Mixed Team, the Belgian Penguins, took part at the Worlds in Scotland, in Aberdeen. After 2 wins and 5 defeats the tournament ended in the Group Phase. For Belgium Annemiek Huiskamp, Caro Van Oosterwyck, Wim Van Doninck and Dirk Heylen played for the team. Caro became record holder with 17 games played for the Penguins, 2 more than Fam Van den Bosch.

06.10 - Start new BCL season

Team Take-Out Tigers started the new season with a big bang and won both of their matches in top division A. Favourites Team Verreycken and Glashoch Rangers won 2 and lost 1.
In League B the Grey Ducks had a 100% start winning both of their matches. In League C The Broomies won 2 matches and is well on its way towards promotion.

22.09 - Kolibris Cup

Team Verreycken continued their good start of the season with a great 3rd place at the Kolibris Cup in Prague, Czech Republic.
The team played 7 matches, won 5 matches and only lost against tournament winners Tatar.

15.09 - Warm Up Cup

On 15 september 2024 the Belgian Curling officially started with playing the so-called Warm Up Cup.
In this individual tournament everyone plays 5 times against 5 different opponents and with 5 different players.
Winner was Filip Vandeputte, 2nd Bram Van Looy and 3rd Andres Frederix.

01.09 - Austrian Open 2024

Team Verreycken had a very succesful start into the new season. From 30 August till 1 September they played the Austrian Curling Open in Kitzbühl. The team took 4 wins and 1 draw and crowned themselves winners by beating Team Genner 6-3 in the Big Final. They team played with Jeroen Spruyt, Timo Verreycken (skip), Tuur Vermeiren & Tom Goethals.

01.08 - Male player of the season

Jeroen Spruyt (29) of Team Verreycken and cc Zemst got himself the title: best male curling player in Belgium 2023.2024. His teammates Daan, Timo and Tuur finished 2nd, 3rd & 4th.
We congratulate Jeroen with his third consecutive title.

01.08 - Best female curling player

Caro Van Oosterwyck (24) won the title best female curling player in Belgium of season 2023.2024. She played in the Belgian Ladies team, the Belgian Mixed Doubles team and for the Blue Huskies & Team Verreycken. Danielle Berus and Kim Catteceur finished 2nd and 3rd.
